Model name - Plaid - refers to the popular pattern of the same name, which is nothing but a checkered design. In this case, we are dealing with a variation on this theme, and the pattern – thanks to the play of shades – gains a three-dimensional depth. The rug is made from wild silk, with a weaving density of 120 knots, 15 threads per knot.
Fort Street Studio was founded by two brilliant artists – Janis Provisor and Brad Davis. They channeled their passion for art into interior decoration. Their works have previously been exhibited at, for example, the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery.
Thanks to the creativity and exceptional skills of this married couple, a unique company was born. Their designs are based on extraordinary, uncommon patterns and carefully selected materials. Fort Street Studio – the name comes from the couple’s former address – has been setting trends in interior decoration for over two decades. In 2010, the brand collaborated with the French department store Hermès.
