This is the flagship model by Fort Street Studio, part of the Drawn Lines collection. Drawing inspiration from Persian weaving techniques and utilizing the finest silk from Dandong, Aura is a highly durable and exceptionally soft piece. It’s also undeniable that its pattern will brighten up any interior.
The weaving density is 120 knots, 15 threads per knot.
The main features of Fort Street Studio are noble quality yarns and silk threads, a unique approach to dyeing, as well as meticulous color matching. Every product bearing this logo is a kind of artwork, a synergy of artistic mastery and functional aesthetics.
Fort Street Studio was founded by two individuals with artistic backgrounds – Janis Provisor and Brad Davis, who decided to channel their enduring fascination with art into interior design. Before jointly dedicating themselves to creating this new brand, their works were exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery.
Thanks to their immense creativity and excellent skills, this duo established a company unlike others – based on original, interesting patterns and carefully selected materials. The Fort Street Studio brand – named after the street where they lived – has been setting new trends in interior design for two decades. They showcased their products at fairs in Paris, London, and Milan, and in 2010, they partnered with the French department store Hermès.
