The beginnings of W&W’s New York operation date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other. They use, for example, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen for production. Most of the dyes are plant-based, which will surely appeal to all enthusiasts of eco-friendly processing methods.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly skilled weavers. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a distinctive shine.
The variety of patterns ensures that Warp & Weft offers a unique piece to suit even the most discerning tastes.
