Description

This contemporary floor mirror features a structure crafted from lacquered wood with handcrafted filigree ornaments in gilded silver and legs finished with a glossy lacquer. If you want a modern home decor, the Viana floor mirror can be a masterpiece in your living room.

Malabar was founded in 2012, coinciding with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. They have designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing their work.

The production of Malabar furniture originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this luxury brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted techniques, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.

The use of various techniques in working with natural wood results in incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and bold colors dominate, significantly deviating from classic and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the manufactory uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their daring furniture designs.

The company's name derives from the Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a bold sea route.

This tradition continues today, as Malabar sets very distinctive design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. Their creations are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely exclusive.

These are the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The brand employs the most refined types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, irregular grain, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques, first applying sheets of copper, gold, silver, rose, or tiger’s eye, followed by lacquering.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger’s Eye, Ocher, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara gold, Carrara, White Extreme, and Travertine.

Metals are selected based on efficiency and quality, using high-grade premium metals such as copper, stainless steel, and galvanized steel. The options include: chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brass, and hammered polished copper.

We would be happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
