Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to remain completely detached from the trends that have emerged over the years worldwide. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The owners firmly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would cause the loss of identity of their knives. For this reason, their work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this Italian family is not closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized sections of workers but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include buffalo, bison, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
