The Diamantina model features a composition of triangles and trapezoids that—fitting together—create a kind of mosaic. Between gray, brown, and cream shapes, there are also pink, red, green, blue, and dark yellow figures. Together, they form a cheerful pattern that is easy on the eyes and not overwhelming with color.
The GPC name was inspired by the surname of a renowned architect from Milan. This was made possible through a collaboration between Gio Ponti Archives and Amini Carpets.
Inspired by the works of the late Milanese architect Gio Ponti, who passed away over thirty years ago, an extraordinary company was established. All its products are handcrafted from natural materials: Tibetan wool and silk. The vibrant colors and top-quality raw materials pay homage to the works of this Italian architect. The same applies to the design—featuring geometric patterns as well as individual shapes: circles, hexagons, triangles, and straight and zigzag lines.
Gio Ponti himself, living from 1891 to 1979, is best remembered as one of the designers of the Pirelli Tower in his hometown, despite many other successes.
Tips:
* A well-chosen rug can significantly influence the interior and even the entire home. A multicolored one will introduce a burst of energy; a lighter one will visually enlarge the space; a dark one will make it feel cozier.
* For the hallway—in consideration of foot traffic and potential dirt—it’s advisable to select products with a low pile; those with a high pile are better suited for bedrooms or living rooms.
