Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design with an ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 opening a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern pattern of Sartori carpets began to gain popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These prestigious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has been paving the way: using old carpets to create something completely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
