Description
For this Lucky Set, we selected three different CMC Ferrari D50 racing cars, which Scuderia pilot Peter Collins successfully raced in the Grand Prix in 1956, but at the same time became a "tragic hero."
Additionally, this model set will be delivered with a display case and a driver figurine. The Lucky set is available only as a complete range.
The extraordinary driving talent of the young Briton Peter Collins (born November 6, 1931) did not go unnoticed by Enzo Ferrari. Therefore, Peter Collins was committed from 1956 by Scuderia. The "youngster" started from the first race – his chances for the world championship title were very good. He remained humble and courteous.
At the last GP of the 1956 season in Monza, Collins made racing history: his selfless decision and generous tribute to his rivals for the world championship decided the outcome of the championship. Collins is the only driver in Formula 1 history who voluntarily renounced a possible world title in favor of a teammate. He justified this decision by stating that he was still young enough and had many more chances to win the world championship title in the coming years. Unfortunately, Collins died two years later in an accident at the Nürburgring track during the German Grand Prix in 1958.
1. With starting number 14, Peter Collins began the race at the French Grand Prix. It was the fifth round of the World Cup in 1956. After an exciting race, Peter Collins ultimately won the race with a narrow lead over his second-place teammate Eugenio Castellotti.
2. With starting number 2, Peter Collins entered the race for the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring track. Both Ferrari drivers drove the D50 with a long nose. To better distinguish the two cars, the tip of Collins' D50 nose was painted with a dark green stripe. A driving error ended Collins' race.
3. The last race of the season at Monza decided the title. Fangio, Collins, or Behra was the question at the start of the race. Fangio took over Collins' car and was able to secure his fourth world drivers' championship title.

The company focuses on all major and popular collectible scales: 1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43. The first model produced by the company was in 1:24 scale - the iconic Mercedes-Benz SSK from 1930. It was built in 1995 and won many prestigious awards.
Each individual element is carefully assembled by hand. The instruments on the dashboard are mounted separately. The seats are covered with fabric or leather. The floor covering is laid inside and in the trunk. The replicas reproduce the smallest details in accordance with the original plans of the given vehicle.
