Description

Thanks to the proposal of exclusive materials and accents in noble metals, the BLOCK 2.0 desk and conference table collection has been enriched with timeless elegance combined with a strong contemporary spirit. The careful update of materials and color styling was carried out by Rmdesignstudio, along with the introduction of new sought-after details to meet the refined aesthetic and functional needs of the executive office. The finish with wood veneer in the hottest and coziest shades, elegant colors combined with innovative, high-performance materials, noble leather, and marble, paired with brass metal details with a strong visual impact. To complete, valuable details to enhance functionality include channeling features, with pull-out surfaces and recessed elements with unmatched customizable solutions. The result is a collection with a strong and decisive identity that interprets luxury with balanced elegance, capable of meeting the needs of functionality and representation of a modern office, and perfectly fitting into various environments.


THE DESK has two legs and a central top made of 18 mm thick fiberboard panels, foldable to achieve a thickness of 88 mm. It features an internal frame made of steel tubes with filling panels under the top. Inside the legs, there is a hatch facilitating cable management, and it can be equipped with a wireless charger. The central top has a convenient sliding mechanism providing access to an internal compartment with a leather mat for storing items or power devices. It can be in the same color as the surface or covered with leather. It is surrounded by brushed brass metal finishes, allowing cables to be routed through two slots on the top. The lower panel, made of 18 mm fiberboard, measures 350 mm in width and 290 mm from the floor.


EXTENSION DESK: the extension has an open compartment and a cabinet with two pull-out drawers, also available with front panels covered in leather.


SERVICE MODULE DESK: the service unit is equipped with shelves and an internal compartment with sliding, lockable doors. It includes a cabinet with three push-to-open drawers and space for a computer. It features cable management with brushed brass cable organizers and a matching-colored hatch.


CABLE MANAGEMENT: The desk has a pull-out central top providing access to a compartment for cables and power devices, along with a small leather-lined pocket for items. Cables can be routed through the storage unit, which is equipped with a special cable organization system matching the finishes. Alternatively, they can be raised through the desk’s internal structure, which has an internal hatch facilitating cable management. From there, cables enter the interior of the central top and can be routed to the work surface through a slot.

Prof Office was born in 1995 from experience in the furniture industry, rooted in a family industrial reality that designs prestigious office furniture systems deeply embedded in the northeastern Italian furniture district. Over these twenty years, the economic path of growth and development has allowed Prof to look at the international market, contributing to the worldwide dissemination of Italian design and high quality. With the consultation of architects and designers, Prof has strengthened its identity and expanded its product range.
Starting from stylish executive collections, it then developed operational systems, reception solutions, and conference rooms, up to partition walls. Today, this allows offering holistic and tailored furnishing solutions for every workspace.
HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of Prof, along with its manufacturing plant and offices, is located in Falzè di Piave, in the province of Treviso, 70 kilometers north of Venice, in one of Europe's most important furniture manufacturing districts. It covers a total area of approximately 8,700 sqm, of which 3,600 sqm are covered. The facility, specialized in the production of office furniture, is equipped for work in the woodworking, assembly, packaging, warehouse, and finished goods shipping departments. The main headquarters houses executive, sales, technical, and administrative offices, conference rooms for client meetings, and a showroom of over 400 sqm, which displays all collections of luxury office furniture. In 2017, an expansion of over 1,800 sqm was completed, with 640 sqm dedicated to production, 330 sqm to new offices, and 830 sqm to a new showroom.

PRODUCTION

The brand manufactures exclusively at the Falzè di Piave plant in Treviso province and always bases its identity on the highest values of respect for people, the land, and materials. Strong local roots and innate "know-how," which has evolved also thanks to new technologies, have allowed Prof to confirm and consolidate its success, continuing to blend tradition and innovation while adapting to new socio-economic changes. Prof's production organization is focused on "just in time," enabling reliability, inventory reduction, and improvements in quality and customer service. The entire Prof network is expanding within Italy, mainly in the local manufacturing district where the vast majority of raw material and semi-finished product suppliers are located. All products are fully designed and made in Italy to ensure a standard of consistent excellence.

DESIGN

At Prof, every piece of furniture results from an understanding of the changing dynamics of workplaces. Research has always been a strategic element of the company's development policy, expressed through an internal Design Department working closely with external designers and continuously updated with technological and legislative developments. Prof models are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, fully compliant with European safety and health standards. For this reason, Prof collections stand out for their high design, ergonomics, and functionality.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Prof provides comprehensive design and consulting services, including analysis of client requirements, layout studies with targeted and personalized furnishing proposals, along with technical drawings and rendering.

CUSTOMIZATION

Prof can offer and execute personalized services on standard production models: from manufacturing oversized components, sourcing new materials and finishes, to creating samples and prototypes. Thanks to its versatile production capabilities, Prof has developed specialized knowledge in non-standard consumable materials, handling projects from small and medium to highly personalized creations.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

With the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification system for managing non-compliant products and complaints, Prof maintains strict control over issues encountered during assembly and use. The company provides technical support and after-sales services, including information, modifications, and repairs.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Prof's high production flexibility allows, in addition to series production, the realization of custom-designed projects tailored to specific client needs. The Design Department can support clients or designers in developing and producing unique products, both functional and aesthetic, with fully customized finishes. Careful advice is provided at every stage: targeted design, meticulous material selection, and attention to detail, culminating in the construction process step-by-step until final installation. Production is fully adapted to individual needs.

ENVIRONMENTIn response to increasing competitiveness in international markets through improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, streamlining internal production processes, Professor obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2012. Adopting a quality management system is a strategic decision for Prof., providing the opportunity to set increasingly concrete business goals. In a world constantly seeking quality and becoming more sensitive to environmental issues, Prof. focuses on delivering maximum experience in designing and manufacturing office furniture with respect for the environment. From carefully selected raw materials, through the entire processing and packaging process, to disposal, everything aims to protect health and conserve energy.

As a result, Prof. uses certified E1 panels in accordance with European regulations regarding formaldehyde emissions, both for raw materials and laminates.
Next, each panel is marked by the Ecological Panel Consortium, ensuring that semi-finished products are produced through the reuse of wood in a manufacturing process that does not involve deforestation.

Obtaining the ISO 14001:2004 certification in 2012 confirms Prof.'s specific commitment to establishing its own environmental management system, regulating the impact of production activities on the environment, and striving for continuous improvement. In 2015, during the same period as the company's twenty-year anniversary, Prof. introduced a new green logo to confirm and identify its commitment to sustainable environmental development as an integral part of its operations and growth process. In 2017, the company reaffirmed its "eco-friendly" strategy, emphasizing its values of "sustainable" and "responsible," by switching to a new electricity provider (Dolomiti Energia) that sources 100% of its energy from renewable sources.

ECOPACKAGING

Prof. continues its commitment to a production system capable of minimizing environmental impact. In 2016, Prof. invested in a modern packaging machinery park using biodegradable cardboard, enabling individual training in packaging techniques. Optimizing packaging for specific products allows for significant reductions in packaging costs, storage, and consequently waste disposal. To improve waste management, several separate collection points for post-production waste were established within the company. All waste is stored in special containers and subsequently subjected to recycling processes.

Demonstrating a commitment to quality, Prof. obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification and adheres to international standards in design, development, production, and customer service.
