Although functional items are often pushed to the margins by many, W&W products are the perfect proof that they can rival the most beautiful symphonies. Delicate yet durable, soft, shiny, stain-resistant, and unique – these are exactly what W&W rugs are like.
The beginnings of the New York-based company date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish this extraordinary place.
The rugs are made using, among other materials, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants are also used for dyeing, which is a very eco-friendly processing method and will surely appeal to all enthusiasts of sustainable solutions in industry.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal, where highly talented weavers create them manually. Then, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
