The brand started its activity in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional world of weaving craftsmanship. It uses Himalayan wool for its carpets. This wool comes from sheep grazing at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes all OC woolen carpets more stain-resistant.
Beautiful shades are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for the carpet designs include a combination of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves or the hues of the setting sun over the majestic Himalayas.
Odegard Carpets are handmade from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is entirely natural. Only organic materials (nuts, roots, or saffron) are used, while maintaining the highest quality.
