With pleasure, we present the exceptionally luxurious brand Ongaro & Fuga, founded in 1954 by Franco Fuga and his wife Tullia Ongaro. The collaboration of these two highly creative individuals gave rise to a distinctive and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, through which they revive the magic and incredible Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great nod to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these luxurious mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – an important consortium that is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an extremely important initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

How are these famous mirrors made?

They are truly extraordinary in their essence. The reflection of this beauty is the result of very long work—crafted by the hands, heart, and soul of artisans. For this reason, Ongaro and Fuga’s exquisite mirrors come at a price. The effort involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is genuine luxury and a testament to how strong European family workshops are. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of each piece with their hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, the sharp edges and imperfections are refined. From a brilliant idea, an exclusive harmony of tradition and modernity is born! It’s magic—these mirrors, if they choose, can become the focal point of your interior.
