The origins of the New York-based brand Warp & Weft date back to 2001 – when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
They use raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. Plants are also important in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to all enthusiasts of eco-friendly raw material processing.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly talented weavers. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve a unique appearance. Thanks to the increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a distinctive shine.
