Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
