The Sole Luna model features a repeating motif of circles divided into halves with different shades. Whether they evoke the natural satellite of Earth or simply delight the eye with their intricate design — that depends on the viewer. What is certain, however, is that even in this case, we are dealing with an interesting solution in applied art.
The name Gio Ponti Collection was created in honor of the great Italian artist, as part of the Gio Ponti Archives collaboration with Amini Carpets.
Inspired by the works of the late Italian architect Gio Ponti, who passed away nearly four decades ago, a unique brand was established. Each rug produced under the GPC logo is handcrafted from natural materials — Tibetan wool and silk.
Vivid colors of the patterns and first-quality materials refer to the style of this Italian architect. Just like geometric patterns, with individual shapes: circles, hexagons, triangles, as well as straight and broken lines.
Gio Ponti himself, who lived from 1891 to 1979, despite many artistic successes, is best remembered as one of the designers of the Pirelli Tower in Milan.
