Description

The designers at Malabar interpreted Dali's famous painting "Metamorphosis of Narcissus" and designed this chair inspired by surrealism. The plush seat, supported by four marble spheres handcrafted with specialized markers, is upholstered in trendy bouclé fabric. The Gala chair was designed as a revolution in your art-filled living room. The Gala chair was designed by Malabar and is part of the Future Classics collection.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 unique series of furniture and accessories.

Malabar has left its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are top-tier venues to showcase.

Malabar's furniture design originates from the Porto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handcrafted products.

The identity of this prestigious brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past 5 centuries. International experience and the pursuit of perfection are details that pave the way for such original companies. Emotions, craftsmanship, and cosmic design create an explosive mix of luxury furniture. Various techniques for crafting goods from natural wood yield amazing results, as seen in Malabar's unique collections.

An important aspect of design is the combination of neutral and black colors. Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly deviating from classic and template furniture. Besides wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials. The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly visible in the bold furniture designs.

The company's name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the cape. It was the value of original spices that prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route. This continues today, as Malabar sets very individual boundaries of design and evokes extreme emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.
