The Italian brand Mepra was established in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family began many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista founded the first Prandelli family business in the Lumezzane valley on the banks of the Gobbia River to harness the kinetic energy of water, which would enable machinery operation.

The Mepra brand was created in 1947 by the Prandelli brothers. The first factory producing 18/10 stainless steel cutlery was established in Lumezzane. For subsequent generations, the Prandelli family actively engaged in pursuing this passion. The brand's products can be found on the tables of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants worldwide.
