Description

The magnificent collections of Ceramiche ML are handcrafted and decorated with respect for tradition and work principles that are primarily artisanal. Plaster molds filled with liquid clay, manual assembly, hand-painting: these are the production processes and know-how passed down through generations, with roots reaching back to past centuries. This is what creates a true multi-generational manufactory, producing more than just luxury products. Because these are works of functional art, made of ceramics. Dedicated to all connoisseurs and lovers of stylish interior accessories.

Concept of Ceramiche ML manufactory

Vehicles inspired by the Baroque era, rich ancient Greek temples, soup vases, tables, panels, Art Deco-style figures, and Roman chariots: all these items are part of the extensive Ceramiche ML model, which is a fundamental distinguishing feature. This results from continuous investments in their artisanal and cultural heritage. They were created over fifty years ago by model makers who are no longer with us: the goal is to preserve items of priceless historical and artistic value. Because this heritage is a testament to traditional craftsmanship! Exclusive ceramics have always been highly sought after among the most discerning consumers worldwide.

A bit of history

Both founders, Luciano and Marilena Tellatin, started their careers in the pottery industry at just sixteen years old and decided to establish their own company after years working as employees in two different antique factories. In a garage at their home, and later in a shed, in 1982, the founders created a story that continues to this day. Deep passion and dedication are the elements through which the founders lead the company, supported by young entrepreneurship—son Alberto. He joined the family business in 2000 after earning a teaching degree from the Art Institute of Nove: representing the future of the brand, which still has much to offer to clients and partners.

With over 30 years of experience, elegant collections, harmonious forms, respect for craftsmanship—primarily artisanal and traditional work—and finally, endless investment in the artisanal heritage of antique Nove forms: these are the qualities that make Ceramiche ML exceptionally unique, dynamic, respectful of ancient pottery traditions, yet enthusiastically looking to the future.

The place where everything happens is located in the province of Vicenza. This location has been recognized as one of the best examples of Italian ceramic tradition since the sixteenth century: a land enriched with artisanal knowledge, artists, sculptors, and ancient factories known worldwide. The Nove and Bassano regions are full of old companies whose work contributed to building the reputation of the ceramic district, decorating furniture in homes around the world.

The history of this place tells of a very long tradition rooted in the 17th century, and its fortune is due to several factors: the presence of underground plastic clay, "lottame" (a limestone high in mineral silica), kaolin, and the possibility of using the Brenta River for transporting finished products and wood for kilns, as well as powering water mills used for mixing clay and grinding pebbles at the riverbed.

Another factor fostering the development of a luxury ceramic tradition in this region was the decree of the Venetian Senate. In fact, in the 17th century, the increasing and widespread demand for beautiful ceramics in China prompted Dutch ceramists to imitate these works, flooding the Venice market with their products. Consequently, in 1728, the Venetian Senate decided to increase domestic production through tax reliefs for those who decided to produce porcelain and improved majolica production, thus managing the birth of the ceramic district in Nove.

The production area of the district still focuses on the municipalities of Nove and Bassano, which are surrounded by a dense network of companies that have contributed to the region's worldwide reputation for excellence and uniqueness—qualities that cannot be found elsewhere in Italy.
