In June 2004, in London, Laban received an award at the prestigious Coveter Lewis & Clarke competition, which was attended by over 75 pen and ballpoint pen manufacturers. Finalists included Montblanc, Omas, Namiki, and Laban. It is worth mentioning that recipients of the Coveter Lewis & Clarke award are extremely rarely companies outside the European continent.
