French Silver Cutlery – Luxury Products.
Founded in 1690, the house of Odiot gained fame during the reign of Louis XV.
The peak of this famous factory occurred during the Napoleonic era when Jean-Baptiste Claude, the grandson of Jean Baptiste Gaspard, received many commissions from Napoleon himself and his family.
The orders included, among others, the coronation scepter and sword!
At that time, Odiot was influenced by ancient art, with the main products being gilded silver items.
CHARLES NICOLAS ODIOT inherited Odiot in 1825 and was a silver supplier for His Majesty King Louis-Philippe and the royal family in Orleans.
He then received the largest order in the history of the House of Odiot for 3,000 pieces of solid gold cutlery for the aforementioned Pasha, the Viceroy of Egypt. Gustave later became a supplier by appointment to the court of His Imperial Majesty. He was the last member of the Odiot family to lead this extraordinary brand.
Today, Odiot continues its great traditions, creating beautiful decorative and functional items made of silver and gilded silver.
