Creativity by L. Frank Baum is widely acclaimed, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is known worldwide, especially for the 1939 musical film adaptation, in which Judy Garland played Dorothy. Published in 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz introduced young farm girl Dorothy and her dog Toto, who are swept away by a cyclone to the Land of Oz. Baum was inspired by the works of the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen, focusing on blending fairy tale tradition with an American setting in the Oz series. This edition gathers the best works of L. Frank Baum from Oz, drawing from the original 1900 publication of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and subsequent novels, including Ozma of Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, and The Lost Princess of Oz.
