Massimo D’Orta was born in Naples in 1950, where he currently lives and works.
He has an unusual character in contemporary art: he has been painting for about 35 years, but exhibits very rarely. In fact, his public appearances are infrequent: as if his artistic vision is very similar to that of a Paleolithic painter, who created his graffiti in the darkest part of his cave not for aesthetic purposes, but to satisfy a psychological need to internally soothe his fears and anxieties.
