The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which a globally renowned brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in creating luxury writing instruments.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. Additionally, they are sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
Distinctive double rings are integrated with the cap and barrel with the utmost precision. The writing instrument is then polished to achieve a magnificent shine. The series is offered as a fountain pen with a differential piston mechanism, a ballpoint pen with a twist mechanism, and a rollerball pen. The fountain pen consists of an 18-karat/750 gold nib with a rhodium-plated decor. Each high-quality Pelikan writing instrument has been carefully inspected, and the writing quality has been manually tested before reaching you.
The German Pelikan brand's writing instruments, with their characteristic resin bodies and a clip shaped like a pelican's beak, have become symbols of the finest taste and sophistication over the years.
