Description
The Portuguese guitar Minho was designed with passion and affection for Portuguese heritage, featuring traditional Viana handkerchiefs, also known as "Lenços dos Namorados." Decorated with floral elements, gold and filigree accents inspired by lush vineyards, breathtaking landscapes, and the rich historical tradition of the Portuguese Minho region.
Hand-painted with an emblematic Viana heart, fresh flowers, and picturesque motifs, the Minho guitar is a tribute to Portuguese culture, art, and heritage. The Minho guitar is part of the Tudo Isto É collection, which explores, recognizes, and reconstructs Fado.
Malabar Workshop was established in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and a collection of stylish furniture by World Architects. They have designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.
Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing design.
Malabar’s design originates from Porto, a northern region of Portugal with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this prestigious brand is rooted in the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.
The use of various techniques in working with natural wood results in stunning effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and bold colors dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture styles.
Besides wood, the manufactory also uses brass, gold and silver leaf, and other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their daring furniture designs.
The company’s name comes from the black pepper Malabar. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices motivated Portuguese merchants to chart bold sea routes.
This continues today, as Malabar defines very individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely luxurious.
And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
