Description

Beautiful Ceramiche ML products are handcrafted and decorated with respect for tradition and work principles, which are primarily artisanal. Plaster molds filled with liquid clay, manual assembly, hand painting: these are the production processes and know-how passed down through generations, dating back to past centuries. This is what creates a true multi-generational manufactory, producing more than just prestigious items. Because these are works of functional art, made of ceramics. Dedicated to all connoisseurs and lovers of stylish interior accessories.

Brand Concept of Ceramiche ML

Vehicles inspired by the Baroque era, rich ancient Greek temples, soup tureens, tables, panels, Art Deco-style figures, and Roman chariots: all these items are part of the extensive Ceramiche ML collection, which is a defining feature. It results from ongoing investments in their artisanal and cultural heritage. These pieces were created over fifty years ago by model makers who are no longer with us: the goal is to preserve items of priceless historical and artistic value. Because this heritage is a testament to traditional craftsmanship! Exclusive ceramics have always been highly popular among the most discerning consumers worldwide.

Company History

Both founders, Luciano and Marilena Tellatin, started their careers in the pottery industry at just sixteen years old and decided to establish their own company after years working as employees in two different antique factories. In their garage, then in a shed, in 1982, they began a story that continues to this day. Deep passion and dedication are the elements that drive the founders, supported by young entrepreneurship—namely their son Alberto. He joined the company in 2000 after earning a teaching degree from the Art Institute of Nove: representing the future of a brand that still has much to offer clients and partners.

With over 30 years of experience, a luxury collection, harmonious forms, respect for craftsmanship—primarily traditional and ancient techniques—and an ongoing investment in the artisanal heritage of Nove antiques, Ceramiche ML is a remarkably unique, dynamic company. It respects ancient pottery traditions while enthusiastically embracing the future.

The town where everything happens is located in the province of Vicenza. This place has been recognized as one of the best examples of Italian ceramic tradition since the sixteenth century: a land enriched with artisanal knowledge, artists, sculptors, and ancient factories known worldwide. The Nove and Bassano regions are full of old companies whose work has contributed to the fame of the ceramic district, decorating homes' furniture around the world.

The history of this place tells of a very long tradition rooted in the 17th century, and its fortune is due to several factors: the presence of underground plastic clay, "lottame" (a limestone rich in mineral silica), kaolin, and the ability to use the Brenta River for transporting finished products and wood for kilns, as well as powering water mills used for mixing clay and grinding stones at the riverbed.

Another factor fostering the birth of a prestigious ceramic tradition in this region was the Venetian Senate decree. In fact, in the 17th century, the growing and increasingly widespread demand for fine ceramics in China led Dutch ceramists to imitate these works, flooding the Venice market with their products. Consequently, in 1728, the Venetian Senate decided to increase domestic production through tax incentives for those producing porcelain and improving majolica production, thus managing the emergence of the ceramic district in Nove.

The production area of the district still focuses on the municipalities of Nove and Bassano, surrounded by a dense network of companies that have contributed to the region's worldwide reputation for excellence and uniqueness, unmatched in other parts of Italy.
