A group of drivers is stranded on a desolate stretch of highway during a Christmas Eve blizzard, battling the unnatural force of the storm. The gathered survivors realize that the faint connection between them may mean it is no coincidence they all ended up on this highway. An attempt to seek help leads some travelers to a house in the woods, where a twisted toy maker with a mystical snow globe is determined to play deadly games with the group trying to get home for the holidays.
