HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE BERGAMO

FAS Pendezza Srl was founded in 1964 in Villa d'Ogna, Val Seriana, driven by the great intuition of Alfonso Pendezza and his brother Davide: to create entertainment tools for adults and children, made from the highest quality raw materials and crafted by the best artisans following Bergamo tradition. Thus, the FAS foosball tables, ping pong and billiard tables, icons of elegance and quality, were born. FAS Pendezza products, appreciated as Italian craftsmanship excellence, have gained and established recognition both nationally and internationally over the years. International recognition is built over time, mainly through top quality and luxurious design.

Basaglia + Rota Nodari – who is behind the designs?

“If there is no conversation partner, there is no design, only artistic and creative craftsmanship. The true strength of a designer is understanding the brand they work with and expressing their creativity within that context. Creativity arises from opportunity. Not the other way around. Otherwise, it’s not a project, but pure spontaneity, which can appear in anyone.”

Architects and designers Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari entered the architectural scene in 1997, founding Studio Associato bearing their names. Their first project, the “Antennati” collection under the YDF brand, earned them the Young & Design award in 1999, happily recognizing their strong ability to understand the potential of the client’s brand and interpret its features in the product. There are many forms of collaboration and many completed projects—from environmental and industrial archaeology buildings, to creating spaces for exhibitions, and even exploring food design. They are recipients of the 2007 Good Design Award for the Boox modular bookshelf system, produced by Rexite, and have achieved excellent results in many other fields of architecture and furniture design.

... they said about themselves in 2013 during the opening of their personal exhibition “Alternative Synergies. 15 Years of Corporate Projects,” held at the Achille Castiglioni Foundation in Milan. Convinced that the best design arises from close collaboration with the client, understanding production realities that must be incorporated into the product, Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari often collaborated with companies on individual products, ultimately managing the entire brand image. In 2016, their S'mesh seating family, designed for Diemmebi, was selected by the ADI Design Index for the 2018 “Compasso d'Oro” nomination.

Since 2009, they have been designing lighting collections for Pedrali. The latest, launched in 2019, is Tamara. They have designed for brands including Blitz Bovisa, BPA, Caffè Bonomi, De Nardi, Diemmebi, Fermob / Vlaemynck, FAS Pendezza, Filippi 1971, Grand Tour Tino Sana, Wood from Nature to Things, I TRE, Lema, Luxit, Mamà Design Italia, Outlook Design Italia, Pedrali, Progetti, Rexite, Sar Metal, Steiner, Treca Interiors Paris, Viganò Office, and YDF.
