Established in 1690, the house of Odiot, gained fame during the reign of Louis XV.
The flourishing of this famous manufactory occurred during the Napoleonic period, when Jean-Baptiste Claude, the grandson of Jean Baptiste Gaspard received many orders from Napoleon himself, as well as his family.
Among the orders were a scepter and the coronation sword!
Odiot was at that time under the influence of ancient art, where products were made mainly of gold-plated silver.
CHARLES NICOLAS ODIOT inherited Odiot in 1825 and was the silver provider for His Majesty King Louis - Philippe and the royal family in Orléans.
Then he received the largest order in the history of the House of Odiot for 3000 gold pieces – he was to create of solid cutlery for the Pacha, the viceroy of Egypt. Gustave later became a supplier on the appointment of his Imperial Majesty. He was the last member of the Odiot family who managed this extraordinary brand.
Today Odiot continues its great traditions, producing beautiful decorative and utility items, made of silver and gold-plated silver.
