First, the series The Arita was created, debuting in 2008. At the G8 summit in Toyako, Hokkaido in July 2008, the Japanese government gifted all the leaders of the member countries. In December of the same year, the pen was showcased at a special exhibition at the Louvre in Paris, held to mark the 150th anniversary of Japanese-French trade relations.
