The Shi-Rei series reflects the four Chinese mystical symbols of the Heavenly Guardians of the Universe – Ryu (Dragon), Ki-ryu (Turtle), Kirin (Unicorn), and Hou-ou (Phoenix). These guardian images have been used in Chinese and Japanese mythology. They represent various spiritual concepts of everyday life.
