The Shima Kuwa pen is handcrafted entirely from the finest mulberry wood, sourced from the small island of Mikurajima in the Izu archipelago, known for its rare natural riches. Mulberry is a material used in Japan for producing exceptional gifts for the Royal Family and corporate executives. This extraordinary pen is inspired by the style of pens produced by Sailor at the beginning of its 100-year history. The unique anchor pattern—the company's symbol—has been designed on the clip.

The beauty of mulberry wood is highlighted by the application of 'Fuki-Urushi' lacquer. The pen's cap below the clip is decorated with powdered gold using the maki-e technique.

The 21k gold nib features stylized inscriptions of '100 Years' and an anchor as the company's signature mark.
All presented in a beautiful wooden box hand-lacquered with Urushi using the Aizu Nuri technique and featuring an image of the factory in maki-e style.
