Manufaktura Visconti is an Italian company producing luxury goods, founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were collectors of fountain pens. Collecting exclusive fountain pens, they aspired to become their manufacturers themselves.
In the 1990s, the Visconti brand developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel inkwell (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual reservoir filling system to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its stylish products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using cellulose acetate to produce its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber. Handcrafted Visconti fountain pens have been appreciated for their quality and excellent craftsmanship. The product line has evolved over time, with several collections launched since its inception.
