Miya is a stylish, classic design with quality craftsmanship guaranteed by Montegrappa. The mysterious name contains one word in two languages. It is a combination of the English version of the word “my” – MY and the Italian equivalent – MIA. MY+MIA =MIYA. The collection name suggests that its owner possesses a “personal,” very “intimate” writing jewel. MIYA was created in three celluloid colors: red, yellow, and turquoise. Celluloid is a material that requires a long aging process, followed by many treatments that give it an exclusive character. All these processes make celluloid very delicate and pleasant to the touch, as well as giving it a durable, slightly shimmering color.
We would like to introduce an innovative pencil with a slightly convex shape at the contact point between the cap and the body. The body and cap are made of celluloid, while details are crafted from sterling silver. The cap is decorated with a Greek pattern characteristic of Montegrappa, representing perfect symmetry. The clip features a distinctive Montegrappa ball, which harmonizes perfectly with the shape of the collection. The pencil is equipped with an 18-karat gold nib, a new ebonite feed, and a double ink filling system: converter or ink cartridges.
