In mid-2005, Montegrappa revamped the appearance of one of its oldest and most iconic pen models, the "Privilege," and introduced a new collection: "Privilege Deco".
The new design embellishing the "Privilege Deco" series was inspired by a historic model from the 1930s, part of the Montegrappa museum collection. The octagonal shape and precious materials used in the pen's production, which distinguish this collection, have been revitalized with new patterns and an elegant new color palette for the finishing parts. The dominant color now is elegant pearl gray. The pattern on the pen body is crafted using authentic, rare Guilloche technique, the most traditional craftsmanship method. To trace the origins of the Guilloche technique, one must go back to the 17th century. Although today it is an extremely rare and complex technique, a few artisans still master this skill. The Guilloche technique is an ancient art used in goldsmithing, enabling the creation of intricate lines with special tools to decorate precious materials such as silver, gold, or platinum.
The creativity of the designers of this line of fountain pens resulted in very elegant pens, and by applying a resin finish in gray, they became even more refined. The manufacturer left space on the cap, allowing the owner of the pen to engrave a personal mark or signature. The clip is finished with a characteristic ball, typical of the brand. They come with converters, which can be easily replaced with ink cartridges at any time.
This edition represents refined elegance that preserves traditional craftsmanship and excellence, for which Montegrappa is renowned. Each piece is a unique work of art and possesses unparalleled beauty.
