Description

Part of the exciting and luxurious Flame Tree notebook series. Combining high-quality production with stunning artwork, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, and then foil-embossed again. They are incredibly practical: a rear pocket for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks, and a sturdy magnetic side flap. Perfect for personal use and an eye-catching gift. This example features a licensed image of Marianne North from Kew Gardens: Honeyflowers and Honeysuckers.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is a world-renowned centre of botanical and mycological knowledge. Kew has a gallery dedicated to the works of the extraordinary Victorian artist Marianne North, who had a keen eye for botanical detail. She set out in 1871 on a painting expedition across the world's flora. North's journey to South Africa was one of her last, alongside trips to Seychelles and Chile.

Popular titles and a very broad range of authors are synonymous with the Flame Tree Publishing brand.

“The aim… is to wipe the dust of everyday life from our souls,” Pablo Picasso.

“Flame Tree Publishing has been dusting off everyday life for over twenty years, creating illustrated books since 1992, art calendars since 1998, and illustrated e-books since 2009. Their extensive list includes powerful and eloquent artists such as Erté and Alphonse Mucha, complemented by extensive licences in their award-winning calendar line, with collaborations with Tate, V&A, RSC, RA, and many others.

With a wide range of authors, editors, and writers—including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Steve Hackett, John Howe, Sir George Martin, Brian May, Paul du Noyer, Paco Peña, Stanley Sadie—the company strives to create illustrated projects that are affordable, useful, and beautiful. In addition to printed titles, their exceptional selection of practical cookbooks, music books, pop culture, and lifestyle titles is increasingly available in digital formats. The publisher believes that well-reviewed, thoughtfully curated content should be available in many formats to meet their readers' needs.
