Wacław Jagielski - born August 20, 1965, in Lubań Śląski. Art conservator and painter. For several years, he was a visual arts teacher for youth at high schools and primary schools. He is a founding member of the Polish Pastelists Association. Author of dozens of solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Notable achievements include: National Pastel Biennale – Nowy Sącz 1998 (honorary Jury distinction), Lyon – France, Contemporary Art Fairs – Paris – France, Athens – Greece, Lviv – Ukraine, Vienna – Austria, International Pastel Biennale 2002 – 3rd prize, environmental exhibitions – Art Salon 2004 – ZPAP “Golden Frame” Award, Art Salon 2009 – Mayor of Nowy Sącz Award. Participant and organizer of plein airs and post-plein art exhibitions of the Polish Pastelists Association and other international events.

Member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists. His paintings are in private collections across Poland and internationally. He practices drawing, pastel painting, and oil painting, enriched by his technological explorations and discoveries. He has published a poetry collection – album “My 40 and 4,” with another in preparation.

I come from Lower Silesia, where the mountains have always created their mysterious, resin-infused melodies of forests, and birds and whistling winds lived in the rock crevices. Since 1979, I have lived and created in Nowy Sącz. It was here that I held my first solo exhibition, even during high school, and I worked as a visual arts teacher. Earlier, I became a certified art conservator, fulfilling one of my greatest life ambitions at that time. For twenty years, I ran my own Heritage Conservation Workshop.

Currently, I have dedicated myself entirely to creating art – painting. I especially love color and light, which are the greatest carriers of my philosophy. However, my greatest happiness comes from my wonderful family, thanks to which God has significantly fewer problems with me. I am a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists and the Polish Pastelists Association. To date, I have organized dozens of solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Poland and abroad. I take pride in the fact that my paintings can be found in the farthest corners of the world, in museums and private collections.
