Glassmaking in Murano signifies the continuation of a thousand-year-old tradition, a history of knowledge, secrets, and skills that are a valuable legacy of the brand's mission—an entrepreneurial reality born from the creative impulse of Guido, Diego, and Omar Ferro. The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with the most renowned Italian and international interior decorators over the years, have led to the success of many of their collections.

Brand Philosophy and Image

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand with a tradition-rich glass production; a proposal for furniture, style, and design for contemporary living, offering us glass and its many facets. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, admiring the changing and fleeting light reflections of a unique and unrepeatable object, and the ability to connect one's personality with the object are the most direct experiences of each of the proposed creations.

Nomads, yet attached to their roots, Ferro, after the devastating plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local notables as Deputies of the island, occupying this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Belonging to the local productive elite and vibrant community, the Ferro family was the Gastaldi Major of the San Nicolò school, which gathered craftsmen and master glassmakers and managed the glassworks. Moreover, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Muranese community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family crest features an anchor, a symbol of stability and connection to the land, and an irreplaceable tool of the comet during voyages and adventures at sea. From Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, comes the Ferro Florian line, a highly important and prolific group of glassmakers from the late 19th century, which continues to this day with glassworks bearing their name. According to ongoing research and experiments that have historically distinguished them in artistic glass production, Yalos Murano offers a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable combinations on the exterior.
