The Sophie desk set consists of five elements: a tray, a pen holder, a miscellaneous item holder, a visitor's book, and a single flower vase.

Each piece is unique and handcrafted entirely from glazed terracotta with a mono and two-tone matte finish. Slight variations in shape, color, and size should be regarded as a value and guarantee of craftsmanship.

Prof Office was founded in 1995, drawing on experience in the furniture industry, a family-run industrial background that designs prestigious office furniture systems deeply rooted in the Italian northeastern furniture district. Over these twenty years, the company's economic growth and development path have enabled it to look at the international market, contributing to the global dissemination of Italian design and high quality. By consulting with architects and designers, Prof has strengthened its identity and expanded its product range.
Starting from designer execution collections, it then developed operational systems, reception solutions, conference rooms, and partition walls. Today, this allows offering complete and customized furnishing solutions for every workspace.

HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of Prof, along with its plant and offices, is located in Falzè di Piave, in the Treviso province, 70 kilometers north of Venice, in one of Europe's most important industrial furniture districts. It covers a total area of approximately 8,700 sqm, of which 3,600 sqm are covered. The facility, specializing in the production of office furniture, is equipped for woodwork, assembly, packaging, warehousing, and shipping of finished products. The main headquarters houses executive, commercial, technical, and administrative offices, conference rooms for client meetings, and an exhibition showroom of over 400 sqm, showcasing all collections of {luxury|luxurious|prestigious} office furniture. In 2017, an expansion of over 1,800 sqm was completed, with 640 sqm dedicated to production, 330 to new offices, and 830 to a new showroom.

PRODUCTION

The brand manufactures exclusively at the Falzè di Piave plant in Treviso province, always based on core values of respect for people, the land, and materials. Strong local roots and innate “know-how,” which has evolved with new technologies, have allowed Prof to confirm and solidify its success by continuously blending tradition and innovation, adapting to new socio-economic changes. Prof's production organization is based on “just in time,” enabling reliability, inventory reduction, and improvements in quality and customer service. The entire Prof network operates mainly within Italy, primarily in the local production district where most raw material and semi-finished component suppliers are located. All products are designed and made entirely in Italy to ensure a standard of consistent excellence.

DESIGN

At Prof, every element of furniture results from an understanding of the changing dynamics of workplaces. Research has always been a strategic part of the company's development policy, expressed through an internal Design Department working closely with external designers and continuously updated with technological and legislative developments. Prof models are fully designed and manufactured in Italy, in full compliance with European safety and health standards. For this reason, Prof collections stand out for their high design, ergonomics, and functionality.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Prof offers comprehensive design and consulting services, including analyzing client requirements, studying layouts with targeted and personalized furnishing proposals, along with technical drawings and renderings.

CUSTOMIZATION

Prof can propose and execute personalized services on standard production models: from the manufacturing of oversized components, through exploring new materials and finishes, to creating samples and prototypes. Thanks to its versatile production capabilities, Professor has developed specialized knowledge in non-standard consumable materials, handling projects from small and medium-sized to exceptional personalized creations.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Thanks to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 certification system for managing non-compliant products and claims, Professor maintains constant control over issues encountered during assembly and use. The company provides technical support and after-sales services along with comprehensive information, modifications, and repairs.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Professor’s broad production flexibility allows, in addition to series manufacturing, the realization of custom-designed projects tailored to specific client needs. The Design Department can support clients or designers in developing and producing unique products, both functional and aesthetic, with fully customized finishes.
Careful advice at every stage of the process: a targeted design, with meticulous material selection and attention to detail, culminating in the structure, step by step, until final installation.
The production is entirely adapted to individual requirements.

ENVIRONMENT

In response to increasing international market competitiveness through improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and streamlining internal production processes, Professor obtained ISO 9001: 2008 certification in 2012. Adopting a quality management system is a strategic decision for Prof, enabling more concrete business goals. In a world constantly seeking quality and increasingly sensitive to environmental issues, Prof focuses on maximum experience in designing and manufacturing office furniture with respect for the environment. Starting from carefully selected raw materials, through the entire processing and packaging process, to disposal, everything aims to protect health and conserve energy.

As a result, Prof uses certified E1 panels in accordance with European regulations on formaldehyde emissions, both for raw materials and laminates.
Each panel is then marked by the Eco Panel Consortium, ensuring that semi-finished products are produced through the reuse of wood in the manufacturing process, which does not involve tree felling.

Obtaining the ISO 14001: 2004 certification in 2012 confirms Prof’s commitment to establishing its own environmental management system, regulating the impact of production activities on the environment, and striving for continuous improvement. In 2015, during the same period as the company's twenty-year anniversary, Prof introduced a new green logo to confirm and identify its commitment to sustainable environmental development as an integral part of its operations and growth process. In 2017, the company reaffirmed its “eco-friendly” strategy, emphasizing its values of “sustainability” and “responsibility,” and switched to a new electricity provider (Dolomiti Energia) sourcing 100% from renewable sources.

ECO PACKAGING

Prof continues its commitment to a production system capable of minimizing environmental impact. In 2016, Prof invested in a modern packaging machinery park using biodegradable cardboard, enabling tailored training in packaging. Optimization tailored to specific products allows significant reductions in packaging costs, storage, and waste for disposal. To improve waste management, several separate collection points for post-production waste were established. All waste is stored in special containers and subsequently recycled.

CERTIFICATIONS

Demonstrating a commitment to quality, Prof obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 certification and adheres to international standards in design, development, production, and customer service.
