Glassmaking in Murano signifies the continuation of a thousand-year-old tradition, a history of knowledge, secrets, and skills that are a valuable legacy of the company's mission—an entrepreneurial reality born from the creative impulse of Guido, Diego, and Omar Ferro. The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with the most renowned Italian and international interior decorators over the years, have led to the success of many of their collections.

Brand Philosophy and Image

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand in traditional glass production; offering furniture, style, and design solutions for contemporary living, showcasing the versatility and multifaceted nature of glass. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, appreciating changing and fleeting light reflections of unique and one-of-a-kind objects, and the ability to connect personal identity with the object—these are the most immediate sensations of each of their creations.

Nomads yet rooted in their origins, Ferro, after the devastating plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local elite as Deputies of the island, holding this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Part of the local production elite and vibrant community, the Ferro family was associated with Gastaldi Major of the San Nicolò school, which gathers artisans and master glassmakers and manages the glassworks. Moreover, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Murano community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family crest features an anchor, symbolizing stability and connection to the land, and an irreplaceable tool of the comet during voyages and adventures at sea. Descended from Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, the Ferro Florian line includes important glassmakers from the late 19th century—fertile and numerous—whose legacy continues today with glassworks bearing their name. According to ongoing research and experiments that have historically distinguished them in artistic glass production, Yalos Murano offers a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable combinations on the exterior.
