The brand Odegard Carpets has always been meeting the highest quality standards. This is not only because of the use of best raw materials but also environmental consciousness, which influences the process of creating products.
This company was established in 1987 and revolutionized the weaving industry. The brand uses the wool from Himalayan sheep for the manufacturing of their carpets. They are being herded at an altitude of 14 000 feet above sea level and their wool is rich in lanolin. This exceptional trait makes the Odegard Carpets more resistant to staining.
The gorgeous colours are a result of hand-production and dying. The inspiration for producing these carpets is a combination of Venetian materials, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture and nature. A great part of these motifs are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves, or the spectacle put up by the sun setting above the majestic summits of the Himalaya.
All the elegant carpets of this brand are hand-made from selected yarns of silk and Himalayan wool. The dying is a completely natural process, where organic materials are used (nuts, roots and saffron), retaining at the same time the highest quality of the original material.
