Description

Night Music is a new anthology of original stories submitted by members of the Crime Writers' Association (CWA) and edited by Martin Edwards, with music as the connecting theme. The goal, as always, is to create a book that is representative of both the genre and the membership of the world's leading crime writers' association.

CWA has been publishing anthologies of member stories for most years since 1956, and Martin Edwards has been the editor for over 25 years, during which the anthologies have featured many award-winning and nominated stories by authors such as Ian Rankin, Reginald Hill, Lawrence Block, and Edward D. Hoch.

The stories include works by long-established authors and star names alongside contributions from relatively new writers, international authors, and members whose work has not previously appeared in a CWA anthology. Among today’s talented stars whose fiction appeared early in their crime writing careers are Mick Herron, Frank Tallis, and Sarah Hilary. This is not a closed shop and never has been.

Their extensive list includes powerful and eloquent artists such as Erté and Alphonse Mucha, complemented by extensive licensing in their award-winning calendar lines, with Tate, V&A, RSC, RA, and many others.”

With a wide range of authors, editors, and writers—from Vladimir Ashkenazy, Steve Hackett, John Howe, Sir George Martin, Brian May, Paul du Noyer, Paco Peña, Stanley Sadie—the company strives to create illustrated projects that are affordable, useful, and beautiful. In addition to printed titles, their exceptional selection of practical cookbooks, music books, pop culture, and lifestyle titles is increasingly available in digital formats.
