This high-quality White Weapon is a ceremonial sword from the French brand BALP. The model was delivered to the State Higher School of Military Infrastructure Engineers.
The Balp brand was established in 1830, in homage to the most beautiful French weapon forges. Its reputation and top-quality production spread throughout France and beyond. Subsequent generations aimed to uphold the tradition and know-how.
Therefore, we have the pleasure and honor to introduce the BALP company, which remains a benchmark for quality. Their team’s experience, stemming from 4 generations of forge tradition, guarantees true product knowledge. The development of the BALP brand is also part of a changing world, where know-how from different countries has been combined to offer ceremonial equipment that meets the needs of major armies.

All BALP sabers, swords, and daggers are hand-forged, following traditional knowledge passed down through generations. A quality guarantee, reinforced by the passion of highly skilled master blacksmiths.
The manufactory supplies models to the national navy, ministries of defense, ministries of internal affairs, as well as for officers of major military academies, such as the National Officer School of Gendarmerie, Coëtquidan schools (Saint Cyr, EMIA...), but also schools, ministries, regiments, and military centers in many countries.

Stainless Steel: The main advantage of using stainless steel is, as the name suggests, protection against oxidation. Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel does not require surface treatment to protect against oxidation. All our blades are traditionally forged and hardened. The use of sabers and swords as parade weapons no longer justifies the use of carbon steels, which shorten the life of the blades. 24K Gold Plating: Gold plating is considered the best finish available and provides additional added value. Gold plating is a durable and non-corrosive finish, therefore it protects very well against oxidation. We use electrolytic baths, which allow us to obtain 24-carat gold plating (approximately 99.3 to 99.7% gold). Gold plating is also very resistant to fading over time. |
