In 2009, Simon's mother tragically passed away.

Right after this event, the brand was established, which still bears her maiden name. A year later, the designer showcased his first collection to the world, and in 2012, Jacquemus was invited to the official Paris Fashion Week calendar. It was a huge step, as he suddenly became part of the same list as Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
