Description
Parmesan is the type of rennet cheese that originates from northern Italy. Although it is hard, the Saladini knife will certainly make it easier to cut.
The Coltelleri Saladini manufactory produces kitchen knives with forged blades. Each blade has the manufacturer's logo engraved - a confirmation of authenticity and a guarantee of quality. The marking is done during crafting, when the blade is not yet hardened.
Saladini is very selective in choosing steel - it mainly uses high-quality hardened stainless steel with high or 100% carbon content.
For blade production, Saladini uses two main processes: quenching and forging.
Quenching is used to create knife blades, cigar cutters, and a certain line of table knives. These blades are cut from steel plates, the thickness of which depends on the knife's purpose.
Forged blades undergo a complex production process using a hammer and anvil, which are used for kitchen, table, and collector's knives. Hand forging allows for the creation of appropriate blade shapes, consoles, and tangs, which will be inserted into the handle.
After marking, both types of blades undergo hardening and annealing in thermal processing, which, depending on the steel composition, determines the correct hardness level for an optimal cutting edge.
♦Saladini remembers its heritage while continuously improving its products, making them increasingly innovative.
The tradition of Saladini dates back to the 15th century, when the first "Master Knifemakers" published its statute. It contained the goals of protection and a plan for the production and trade of knives. From that generation to the present day, producers follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and create products with the same passion and tradition.
This company has gained experience through centuries-old tradition. It is located in the Italian town of Scarperia. The literal meaning of this name is "city of knives." Here, talents related to knife craftsmanship have been dormant since ancient times. This craft was perceived as an ancient form of art.
Alongside the series of traditional knives, Saladini offers a wide range of kitchen knives, table accessories, cutlery, as well as corkscrews and cigar cutters. Each product is made with great care, with attention to every detail.
It will certainly be an amazing gift!
