Visconti is an Italian luxury goods company founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate collectors of fountain pens. Aspiring to become manufacturers themselves, they set out to produce their own high-quality writing instruments.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel inkwell (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-chamber filling mechanism to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its stylish products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
