Founded in 1690, the Odiot house gained fame during the reign of Louis XV.
The peak of this renowned factory occurred during the Napoleonic era, when Jean-Baptiste Claude, grandson of Jean Baptiste Gaspard, received numerous commissions from Napoleon himself and his family.
Among the orders were, for example, the coronation scepter and sword!
At that time, Odiot was influenced by classical art, with the main products being gilded silverware.
CHARLES NICOLAS ODIOT inherited Odiot in 1825 and was a supplier of silver to His Majesty King Louis-Philippe and the royal family in Orléans.
He received the largest order in the history of the Odiot House — 3,000 pieces of gold-plated cutlery for the aforementioned Pasha, Viceroy of Egypt. Gustave later became a court supplier by appointment to His Imperial Majesty. He was the last member of the Odiot family to lead this renowned brand.
Today, Odiot continues its historic tradition, producing beautiful decorative and functional objects made of silver and gilded silver.
