Caran d’Ache, in collaboration with master goldsmith Eduardo Jude, presents the limited collection of fountain pens – Dragon. This is a tribute to the power of China. An exceptional work of art, with a body covered in the image of a dragon – embodying strength and lightness. This “Angel of the Orient” possesses magical powers; it can transform into a giant snake with a fish tail. The number of claws indicates its strength and power. For ages, the dragon has been associated with authority, while the pearl adorning the top of the cap refers to the wisdom of the ruler.
This collection consists of 88 fountain pens and 88 ballpoint pens in a silver version. The pen is housed in a wooden box coated with black lacquer. The light red lacquer covering the body is a symbol of life and renaissance. Dragon is a unique piece of art, a tribute to China. It references the number 8 as a symbol of infinity and happiness. The body of the pen features two dragons, with two more adorning the cap. The nib is made of 18-karat gold plated with platinum and decorated with five dragons. The total number of dragons is nine, symbolizing absolute perfection – a characteristic feature of Caran d’Ache writing instruments.
