Their leather is hand-selected, firm, and durable full-grain cowhide, which is beautiful, long-lasting, and tanned using traditional and natural vegetable tanning processes. Full-grain leather is considered the strongest and most durable type of leather. It is designed to be resistant to moisture and to develop a more beautiful appearance over time. Jekyll & Hide adheres to principles and practices that respect animals and the environment, allowing for the production of authentic leather collections. Therefore, no harmful chemicals are used in the tanning process.

RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

In line with their sustainability commitment, the brand has started replacing all its fabrics with 100% recycled materials derived from used plastic bottles. To date, they have recycled and diverted over 95,000 plastic bottles from landfills and oceans.

SPEKBOOM PROJECT

The company partnered with a dynamic local nursery to help offset its carbon footprint through the cultivation and maintenance of Spekboom. This proud South African plant is one of the most effective in the world at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. For this project, Jekyll & Hide secured their own hectare of land and planned to grow around 6,000 plants in 2020.
