ARTIST. Thomas John Thomson was a Canadian artist active in the early 20th century. During his brief career, he created around 400 oil sketches on small wooden panels and about 50 larger works on canvas. His works consist almost exclusively of landscapes depicting trees, sky, lakes, and rivers.
