ARTIST. Kew Gardens has a gallery dedicated to the paintings of the extraordinary Victorian artist Marianne North, who had a keen eye for botanical detail. She set out in 1871 to paint the world's flora. North's journey to South Africa was one of her last, alongside trips to Seychelles and Chile.
